The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway with free parking, making it a handy stop for travelers passing through Belgium. The rooms are spacious with a small balcony, although they appear a bit dated, they were clean and had comfortable beds. The friendly staff were helpful, but the presence of a building site nearby was slightly off-putting. The dining experience was good overall, with local dishes served in the traditional Van der Valk style.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms are big and spacious, including a small balcony. Although they are a little dated, they are clean and have comfy beds.
Service
7.0
The staff were all helpful, and the smiling staff added breakfasts and an extra amount to the room price.
Location
7.0
The location is convenient off the highway but not near the city center, very close to the ring road, making it a strategic choice for business travelers to Antwerp.
Dining
8.0
The dining was good, with local dishes served in the Van der Valk tradition.
Facilities
The hotel offers standard facilities in the Van der Valk style.

7.8/10

My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. While the rooms weren't as nice as expected after seeing the bar, restaurant, and reception, they were spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed, including a proper coffee machine. I look forward to my next stay in a renovated room mainly because of the hotel's proximity to the expressway.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms are a little run-down with damaged furniture, plug sockets, and a hairdryer held together with sticky tape.
Service
7.0
The staff were mostly very friendly and accommodating. However, the experience of crossing a building site to access the hotel without any staff or signage was a bit off-putting.
Location
9.0
The location was perfect with free parking, and I appreciated the small balcony outside each room that provided fresh air and a nice breeze.
Dining
8.0
The dining options were plentiful and varied, catering to all tastes. Though the breakfast was below standards compared to other Van Der Valk hotels.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were intelligently planned and provided all the necessary amenities.

The hotel rooms are old and tired, but spacious. The food in the bistro was delicious albeit overpriced. The swimming pool and bathroom need renovating; the location is convenient near transportation options.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms, though old, were spacious and provided a great experience with the air conditioning already running upon arrival.
Service
8.0
The staff was very helpful, courteous, and accommodating throughout my stay, despite the inconvenience of construction on the property.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is great for easy access to the city center by car or public transportation.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was well worth the money with a good variety of dishes, but the overpricing took some joy out of the stay.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities, including the bistro and swimming pool, were enjoyable but showed signs of wear and would benefit from renovations.

6.4/10

The hotel offers fairly large, modern, clean, and comfortable rooms with wide balcony doors that can be opened wide with a little effort but need renovating. The oppressive heat made the A/C essential. The service is very polite and welcoming, though navigating the construction site to reach the hotel could be confusing. The location is great, though slightly limited. Dining options needed additional purchases and were pricier compared to other places, but the in-room coffee machine was a nice touch.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms are fairly large, modern, clean, and comfortable with wide balcony doors that can be opened wide to the fresh air with a little work. However, the bathrooms look very worn and need renovating.
Service
8.0
The service is very polite and welcoming, and the staff are super friendly after a few days' stay. They are service-minded, offering room service, dry cleaning, and laundry.
Location
6.0
The hotel's only drawback is the location, despite being within walking distance to public transportation. The bones of the hotel are excellent, and the small uninhabitable balconies with large sliding doors offer good airflow, but the neighborhood itself is average.
Dining
5.0
Dining needed to be purchased separately at an additional cost. The pricing was higher than usual, but the in-room coffee machine provided a pleasant touch.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities are decent, with the in-room coffee machine being a highlight. However, improvements are needed in the dining cost and worn-out bathrooms.
